From what I've observed, Lemurian Seed Crystals are very easy and natural ones to connect with. One technique people use is to rub their thumb or other fingers along the horizontal ridges. Looking into it from the different sides is also nice, and sometimes the top faces have record keeper triangles. Often there are triangular forms on the long sides, too. You could certainly do some more advanced meditation work, but you really don't have to do anything more except hold the crystal. They are the most consistent crystals I've seen for naturally activating a very pleasant and consistent increase in awareness and spiritual consciousness.

This applies not just to Lemurians but to any crystal really - when you hold it look at it with your eyes. There is energy from the eyes that the crystal picks up. Try this experiment also - look at the crystal then look away from it. Many people will feel the energy change with the eye movement. Don't move your head - just move the eyes. Moving the head moves energy by itself and biases the experiment.

Another game - lay down on a bed while holding a crystal in each hand. Keeping the head staionary on the pillow roll your eyes back and forth from one crystal to the other. Often one can feel the energy fly back and forth bewteen them. It wooks especially well with lemurians.
