Do your stones have partners or companion stones? Do they seem to want the company of another of their same type of stone, or a piece from a whole other portion of the planet? Or are they 'anti-social' and prefer to be by themselves?
I've three labradorite hexagons that prefer the company of each other, and don't work well when alone or paired with others; but not far from them is a tumbled yellow calcite that seems to adore the presence of a rough garnet. My clear quartz sphere seems reluctant to get to work without its smokey partner, but the morion tablet I wear on my person seems to want no company at all.
What about you guys?

Re: Companionship in stones?
Mon, March 3, 2008 - 11:15 AMSome stones definitely prefer working together, some seem not to get along, but with time together or requests, that can quickly change. One of my crystal books says that diamonds like to work alone (or with other diamonds) but are OK working with emeralds. From my experience with my rough Brazilian diamonds, they definitely know and act like they are at the top of the crystal energy and hardness scale. Green tourmaline is a great stone to use with others to enhance healing.

Thu, May 15, 2008 - 10:59 AMMy Prehnite strongly dislikes all other stones except for my Labradorite ring, but if I wear anything other stones with it they crack, or I smash them against things by "accident".
I have found that Angelite likes Blue Opal :)

Thu, May 22, 2008 - 11:30 AMRough diamonds and alexandrite chips together in a pouch or pill fob will turn you into a god-for-a-day.
Merkabite calcite seems to work with nearly everything for me.
Smoky quartz and citrine beads together on a necklace seems fine.
I now like to mix moldavite with phenacite. The moldavite alone makes me sluggish.
Aquamarine, morganite, and goshenite do nicely as a trio.
Heck, these groupings vary from one day to the next. What worked one day may not work the next as one absorbs a particular chord and then needs to move on.

Thu, May 22, 2008 - 12:12 PMSuper 7s are downright territorial. I use carnelian with a lot of other stones as they help keep everyone clean
